A short dance film in which a dancer tries to get a grip on urbanisation. In the duet that commences between the dancer and her surroundings, the camera creates its own dynamic. Various buildings are explored by the dancer and the camera, yielding a story about emptiness, loneliness and temptation. Solid Skin is the third dance film by director Xander de Boer and choreographer Maaike van Dijk.
