Vulnerability, love, compassion and a group of die-hard Feyenoord fans. These are the ingredients of this experimental documentary that is a search for religion and community spirit in the heart of Rotterdam.
Director Lavinia Xausa examines traditionally Christian values and feelings of solidarity, conformism and community spirit. In this documentary, she talks to a group of loyal Feyenoord fans, whereupon a secret Rotterdam scene unfolds in which religion, camaraderie and true fandom go hand in hand. Xausa tries to discover the voice of God among the supporters’ voices. Her quest reaches a touching denouement when a semi-professional choir performs a polyphonic version of traditional terrace chants.
