Sil de strandjutter

TV series is an adaptation of a Cor Bruijn novel. Decleir plays the role of the surly island dweller Sil, who saves a girl from a Swedish ship one stormy night. Together with his wife and two sons, the islander takes little Lobke under his wing and raises her as if she were his own daughter. The happy tide turns when the children grow older and their dreams, desires and amorous vicissitudes clash with the ideas of the stubborn Sil, who wants to control everything.
