Portrait of the eldest daughter of an Antillean one-parent family in one of the largest underprivileged districts of Rotterdam. Loyalty dilemmas make it very tough for her to simultaneously be an ideal daughter, perfect girlfriend and independent woman in today’s Netherlands. For three years, the makers follow her from up close in her quest for happiness and independence on the interface of two cultures. What will eventually determine her choice?
