Shelter

Director: Sjors Swierstra, Ivanna Khitsinska
How does the war in Ukraine feel, in everyday life? Shelter lets you witness moments of shared humanity, literally from the cradle to the grave.

This VR documentary by Dutch Sjors Swierstra and Ukrainian Ivanna Khitsinska, offers an intimate look at the war in Ukraine, with images you don't normally see in the world news. The 360-degree video puts you in some everyday scenes: a tender conversation between pregnant women in a maternity ward in Kyiv, a funeral of a soldier in Lviv and a performance of an opera orchestra in a basement in Charkiv. For a brief moment, you share virtual space with Ukrainians, witness moments of shared humanity and reflect on the profound effects of war.

This VR experience lasts 40 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes in advance.
