Dutch-Iranian artist Sevdaliza is known for her electronic sound and dark aesthetics. Both are used in this dystopic music video, which will haunt you for a long time.
This dark music video adds a new meaning to ‘homunculus’ – roughly translated as ‘body without a soul’. In the clip, imbued with symbolism and creepy thriller elements, we follow a pregnant woman who is abducted from her home, subjected to all sorts of misery and eventually comes face to (artificial) face with a soulless robot. All accompanied by Sevdaliza’s sometimes stirring, sometimes dreamy soundcapes.
