Most parents want the best for their children. So after a problematic divorce, both parents try to suppress their anger, disappointment and other emotions to enable contact with the other parent, in the child's interest. Sometimes helped by the Omgangshuis. Here, the offspring can be brought and picked up, possibly without the parents meeting. If necessary, only a supervised visit takes place. In Scènes uit het Omgangshuis, two broken families are followed during the painful process of building a new basis for trust. One father's reaction shows how hard this is. He gets nauseous when looking at a video of his ex and their son happily playing together: she did not bother about the kid for years. The other former couple maintain a friendly relationship, and yet they repeatedly get into conflict. Even in their son's presence. We don't hear what the children have to say, but we do hear the individual parents. Two broken families pass through a painful process.
