From the guest studio of the Vincent van GoghHuis in Zundert, Stella van Voorst portrays the world-famous artist’s native village in Brabant, in the form of cinematic sketches and personal observations.
In 2022, documentary filmmaker Stella van Voorst worked for a month in the guest studio of the Vincent van GoghHuis in Zundert, Vincent van Gogh’s native village. Van Voorst, used to movie projects that often take years, wanted to work solo and improvise without a fixed film plan. With the limitation of time and place as her sole footing. This results in a film about the village, about loneliness, the community, the pear tree, the Reformed Church where father Van Gogh preached and also about Vincent van Gogh himself.
