Six Japanese corporate salarymen cannot wait till the weekend begins. But first they have to attend the weekly drink where, due to their superior, they soon feel like hostages.
A real Japanese corporate salaryman is not only a loyal and assiduous employee during working hours, the protagonist soon discovers. He and five colleagues are forced to take part in the standard Friday drink. After handing in their phones, the six men have to drink until they drop and provide their superior with company and entertainment. An oppressive comment on the exacting, extreme corporate culture where personal autonomy is hard to find.
