In the charming green oasis Rust en Vreugd, Emma Quaadvliegh gets involved in a smouldering conflict between the free-spirited gardeners and the authoritarian chairman. A drama series based on the book by Hendrik Groen.
After her husband’s death, while clearing out some old papers, Emma Quaadvliegh (Annet Malherbe) finds a long-forgotten registration for an allotment garden. At her first viewing, Emma instantly falls in love with a cosy, cluttered garden shed and its accompanying garden. The fact that she knows nothing about gardening doesn’t matter much – friendly neighbours immediately offer their help. In this series, Emma embraces her budding passion for gardening while gradually becoming entangled in a smouldering conflict between the cheerful allotment gardeners and its rule-obsessed chairman.
