A pub conversation between two friends about refugees leads to an agreement: one of them takes a refugee in, the other brings one back. It runs completely out of hand.
‘You take one in and I’ll bring one back.’ That’s the arrangement the two friends Bram and Ivo make during a pub discussion about refugees. The next day, Bram wakes up with a hangover in a car on a French highway, with Ivo at the wheel and a gagged dark-skinned man in the backseat. It seems Ivo wants to carry out the plan to return a refugee right away. The drama about a joke gone wrong urges the viewer to reflect on the refugee crisis.
