Fragmented fairy-tale about young mother Mette, whose life lands in a maelstrom when she, against her better judgement, receives a victim of domestic violence into her home. Première at the Toronto Film Festival and selected for the Berlinale.
Mette, social worker and mother of two, is recovering from a serious accident. But she fails to remember what exactly happened. Until she is visited by someone who wants to have her testify against the man who allegedly made Mette end up in a wheelchair. In a haze of medication and growing fear, the memories start coming back. The film shows how the events unfold in her shattered memory. The equally fragmented story starts when Mette, against her better judgement, receives a victim of domestic violence into her home.
