In this stylized graduation film, we follow Finn as he struggles with the loss of his mother. Behind a tough exterior, someone hides who is slowly being swallowed by the black hole of grief. His days slip by in a routine of working, aimlessly hanging out with friends and leaving voicemails on his deceased mother’s phone. The Walloon city of Charleroi mirrors his inner world: worn down, faded, yet still marked by a will to survive. The confrontation with his sister, resurfacing memories and the unexpected connection with Jackie – a young woman who sees straight through his armour – bring him to a turning point.
