A feature in which it gradually becomes apparent that the man is a young gynaecologist and the women sharing the car with him on a trip is one of his patients. The journey takes them along coastal lanes and past a harbour until they finally reach a back-street hotel in Antwerp. There they experience true love. But there too the man regularly gives the woman morphine and other painkillers, because the woman turns out to be terminally ill. It is not so much the dialogues as the narration of the man and the woman on tape that makes clear their relationship is special. We can suspect that their relationship may date back to an earlier one. Based on the short story Pappa is dansen (Dad's Gone Dancing) by Theo van Gogh.
