Reclaiming Dragons

Director: Xiang Yu Yeung
A young Chinese-Dutch office worker seeks refuge in a virtual world, where a confrontation with her dark alter ego unleashes a force that shatters the boundary between digital fantasy and reality.
By day, Ami processes shipping invoices in a drab Rotterdam office building. By night, she escapes into a virtual world where everything is sweet and candyfloss-pink. Digitally, everything seems perfect – until she comes face to face with a dark version of herself. When this version offers her a red pill, Ami becomes increasingly entangled in the web of her alter ego. The line between on- and offline begins to blur, until she faces a choice: remain trapped in her perfectly curated digital dream, or embrace the dragon fire burning inside her? A debut that blends science fiction and thriller.
