Can you reconstruct the day you were born? How do you do this in absence of your own presence? A reconstruction of a birthday, aiming for self-insight.
How can you retrace the origin of your existence? Which factors were important on your birthday and how do they influence the further course of your life? Perhaps it helps to get a grip on the meaning of life and it enlightens your personal life story. In this short film, Eline Schellekens reconstructs the day she was born to gain (self) insight. Her grandfather left her the newspapers published on her birthday. She connects the news of yesteryear to her own life in a series of fragmented scenes.
