Alex Sterkenburg (Tjitske Reidinga) is a legal aid lawyer who runs a small practice dedicated to people who can barely afford a defence. As Alex takes on powerful institutions, gridlocked regulations and injustice, the cases start to edge ever closer to her own reality. Together with her colleagues, she has to fight just to stay afloat. Pro Deo is a drama series about people fighting for justice, while trying not to lose themselves in the process.
