Anna and Paul are literally and figuratively at the top of the social ladder. When their son gets a mysterious affliction, their seemingly perfect life starts to crack.
Businessman Paul has created an anchor of stability full of material wealth for his family. His wife Anna is a leading expert in the restoration of porcelain. Then, their eight-year-old son Thomas falls ill and their carefully constructed life is suddenly volatile. The façade they hold up mercilessly crumbles, like brittle porcelain that can no longer be glued back together. Dark fairy-tale, dealing with three universal fears that are deeply embedded in our society: the fear of being a bad parent, of the loss of control and of death.
