Early last century, a family drama takes place. The youngest child of a family, cared for by his sisters and their single mother, passes away. This film is a visual poem about the days surrounding the demise. Death, lurking in every life, explains how he gets in touch with the boy who is fighting a lung disease. Everyday moments in and around the house assume an ominous character, while the women of the family cope with their grief in separate ways.
