When nightclub performer Poppy unexpectedly spots a black-eyed man in the audience, she is seized with fear. In this dreamy, experimental short film, she finds a way to get closer to herself.
"You estranged me. Unwatch me, untouch me." Poppy performs in a nightclub. During one of her shows, she makes eye contact with a black-eyed man, which brings a deep-hidden trauma to the surface. In a colourful world full of larger-than-lifecharacters and experimental kaleidoscopic glittercore, Poppy will have to find a way to get closer to herself. A short film about dealing with trauma, full of glitter, music and blood. Nicole Tegelaar’s graduation film at the Ghent Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
