Documentary, made for VPRO TV, about the expansion of the port of Rotterdam, for which the agricultural village of Rozenburg has to move. The images of the industrial development and the powerful editing are reminiscent of post-war reconstruction films, but the statements by people involved and the attention for the drawbacks of industrialisation indicate a new documentary approach, with an eye to the consequences of the reconstruction philosophy.
