Why do we long for nature, even as we push it further away? This short documentary explores the connection between humans and nature, and looks at what lichen can teach us.
In a world where humans grow increasingly disconnected from nature, we simultaneously seek it out everywhere around us — from forest imagery on office walls, to artificial skies on dentists' ceilings. Nature is so often imitated, confined and controlled. Lichen, which thrives through cooperation and adaptation, offers a mirror for the question of whether humans and nature are truly separate worlds. This graduation documentary takes a close look at the relationship between humans and natural organisms.
