Ruud Monster travelled tens of thousands of kilometres to rediscover his native country of Holland in impressionist images, which capture both everyday and unexpected things. The result is a partly documentary, partly dramatised voyage of discovery across the Netherlands. In four Dutch seasons, he filmed, without comment, simply observing, the continuous traffic flow, the unreliable weather and all sorts of Dutch occurrences.
