Tragicomic documentary about the strenuous brotherhood of Paultje (61) and Paul (79) in Amsterdam-Noord. Now that they are both seriously ill, they are confronted with the impermanence of life.
When Paultje (61), who is in prison, is told he has not got long to live, he has only one possibility: return to the house of his elder brother Paul (79) in Amsterdam-Noord. Not that his brother welcomes him with open arms – too much has happened between them – not to mention their gloomy family history. Portrait, shot in black and white, of an extraordinary brotherhood.
