Papa

Grief is a many-headed monster, especially if things have not found proper closure, as with the protagonist of the animation Papa. After her father’s decease, a woman clears out his house and finds his old rifle. This reminds her of the time they went hunting in the woods together and her father felt poorly, but later that evening pretended nothing was wrong. Death, always so close, was taboo for both father and daughter.
