The Rotterdam-based rapper and songwriter Ilias recently became a father. While exploring this new role, we see how the complex relationship with his own dad, who never understood Ilias' decision to pursue music, develops.
In this debut we follow Ilias, who under his stage name Vlins is busy building a music career. When his girlfriend turns out to be pregnant, it brings a new challenge: to balance his passion with his new role as a father. In this short documentary, we see how Ilias, through trial and error, navigates between being a good dad and an emerging rap artist. The fact that Ilias’ own father could never understand his decision to pursue music still bothers him. But perhaps the birth of a child brings them closer together?
