Ten-year-old Ayman unexpectedly visits his granddad. But this time grandpa does not seem to be entirely present. Winner of the 48 Hour Film Project Rotterdam 2017.
When he has forgotten his keys and his mother is not home, Ayman (10) pays a visit to his grandpa. Everything seems very familiar, until Ayman spots a man in one of the other rooms who resembles his granddad, while he is sure his grandfather is slumped on the couch watching TV… And when grandpa falls asleep, Ayman’s nightmare has only just begun. The tension hits the roof in this short film, which was shot in two days as part of the Rotterdam edition of the 48 Hour Film Project and was proclaimed the best contender there.
