Inspired by the poem Op weg naar een kamer (Going to a Room). A string of associative images throws light on the relationship between the filmmaker and the poet.
'Could you read it aloud?', an invisible person asks. Poet Hanny Michaelis then recites a few verses from her poem Op weg naar een kamer (Going to a Room), which is the inspiration of the film. A string of associative images, including a newspaper clipping from 1957, throws light on the relationship between the filmmaker and the poet. The two women - continually kept from the screen - turn out to share a past.
