Overview of 35 years of film production in the Netherlands.
Documentary about Dutch film production between 1958 - the founding of the Film Academy - and 1993 which tries to answer two very simple questions: `Who wants to film what in Holland and why?' and `Why do so many film people seek solace abroad?' The answers to the questions, which were posed to many people in the film world, left the makers Robbe de Hert and Willem Thijssen with thirty hours of film material and the question how to condense the many fascinating and open-hearted stories to a film of 120 minutes.
