When filmmaker Gijs Wilbers’ parents decide to swap the family home for a smaller apartment, it is painfully obvious there is still a huge pink elephant in the room.
Filmmaker Gijs Wilbers’ parents move from their family home to a smaller apartment. Mother Lot has trouble discarding stuff, so her husband starts by transferring some of it to a rented garage. When Lot finds out, the mood instantly changes. This is the moment when the filmmaker decides to point out the huge pink elephant in the room. Lot is part of a series of five short documentaries in which young creatives question, invert or rewrite the unwritten rules of present-day society.
