The Turkish-Dutch teenager Bora likes to spend the summer with his friends by the Turkish seaside, but on the last day of his vacation he discovers Turkey will never be his home.
The last leisurely day of his vacation 17-year-old Bora spends with his friends Dursun and Kagan in a small Turkish seaside village. While wandering down the beach and boulevard with them, he feels more at home here than in the Netherlands. At least, as long as he does not get in his authoritarian father’s way. The fact that this year Bora has fallen in love with the unattainable girl next door Burcu does not make life easier either. By acting tougher than he is, Bora tries to squeeze everything out of this day. But he mainly seems to thwart himself.
