In Brabant, a young Ukrainian boy can’t seem to find his place. Determined, he hatches a childish plan: to cycle back to the village he once called home.
Nikita and his mother Alla have recently emigrated to the Netherlands and struggle with the challenges of starting over. While Alla, a pilates teacher, tries to adapt, Nikita is plagued by homesickness and longs for his old life. His clumsy attempts to befriend his Dutch classmate Stefan falter on language barriers and misunderstandings, leading him to a childish yet determined plan: to cycle back to Ukraine.
