Documentary on the occasion of Herman van Veen's 65th birthday in 2010. For the first time, Van Veen allowed a crew to follow him for several months, on and behind the stage. Whole generations grew up with his songs, his translations of Leonard Cohen and the adventures of Alfred. J. Kwak. The film also shows that behind these texts there is a man who also devotes himself to the needy and impoverished.
