A writer in his mid-thirties is confronted with his fears after he is beaten up brutally and without mercy when out for a walk at night.
Television play based on the columns of journalist Stefan Sanders. A writer in his mid-thirties is confronted with his fears after he is beaten up brutally and without mercy when out for a walk at night. Times and reminiscences become entangled as he comes to terms with the moment when he was standing with a friend dreaming agreeably about life, suddenly to find himself lying bleeding on the ground. In his thoughts, he keeps going through the violent confrontation and tries to understand what motivated his attackers, why his friend turned and ran, why the doctor in the casualty department was so haughty and why a scientific report writes off senseless violence as a way of life. The writer only has language to help him.
