After their solitary best buddy has died, two filmmakers recover the old tapes of their turbulent road trip 25 years ago. When they edit the tapes, the question remains: Have they remained faithful to their friendship?

Under a grey cloud cover, a group of friends drive to the coast of France. Determined to make their very first movie, they are convinced something divine underlies their friendship. However, after a trip riddled with quarrels and fatigue, the tapes that were intended as a tribute to their companionship end up in a box. 25 years later, when their self-willed and solitary friend Rob has passed, the two remaining friends decide to edit the recovered tapes. Did they remain loyal to Rob? In this documentary, they gradually revive their buddy, hoping he will eventually speak a redeeming word.
