When singer Nora Fischer’s rock-solid voice suddenly falters, she tries to find the cause. Is it her perfectionism, the critical gaze of the audience or is something else at play?
When Nora loses her voice, she runs into stage director Titus Muizelaar. He commands her to put her inner critic’s voice on paper. From this moment on, Nora painstakingly keeps a diary: growing up with applause and other people’s great expectations have turned her inner voice into a monster. While writing, her diary entries bring forth a promising play. The spotlights beckon: Will Nora manage to stay true to herself? A short documentary about keeping out expectations, tremors and judgements.
