Documentary account of the controversial strike at Hoogovens, IJmuiden, in the spring of 1973. Camera in hand, Pieter Verhoeff gained access to the company premises, canteens and factory buildings and refused to be sent off. He spoke to strikers, non-strikers, members of the board and union people, including union leader Arie Groenevelt, who has to explain to the strikers why eventually the strike has not yielded anything.
