Gripping music video about the comeback of former teen pop star Naaz. The overbearing theme of her new music is the Iranian slogan 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadî'. Or: Woman, life, freedom. In her teens, the Rotterdam-based Naaz Mohammed (1998) swiftly blossomed into a very successful singer. But behind the scenes, she got traumatised by physical, mental and financial abuse, which brought her career to a grinding halt. In this music video, she tells her story.

Fullscreen x XITE has been a festival highlight for years. Over the past eight editions, clips from a wide variety of artists have been featured: from S10 to Kempi, from André Hazes to Akwasi, from Froukje to De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. But also international clips by Madonna, Janelle Monáe, and James Blake. After all, Dutch directors go far and wide, creating music videos that reach well beyond our borders. So, once again this year, you can look forward to a richly diverse program! The selection will be announced in August.
In between the clips, the program’s creator, Job de Wit, will talk with directors and artists. This way, you’ll hear the stories behind the videos, gain insight into the making of music videos, and learn more about the creative collaboration between directors and artists.
