Short films by ten young and anonymous Burmese filmmakers, combined with citizen journalism. A unique, courageous and personal glimpse of daily life in Myanmar after the 2021 coup d’etat.
Anonymous cameras show the developments in Myanmar: from the military coup to a growing armed insurrection against the junta. We see the mass protests and acts of civil disobedience and the barbaric military repression that got thousands of peaceful demonstrators killed, captured and tortured in 2021. The film moves organically between documentary and fiction, with the filmmakers devising creative ways to keep their protagonists anonymous. An extremely urgent film at a time when Myanmar has almost disappeared from the world news.
