Motorengel

Director: Bernou van Dijk
The sister and the girlfriend of the deceased Zora ride through France on her motorbike. Zora’s girlfriend Noah is overcome by grief, while Juna is confronted with her incapacity to mourn her sister.
Not far from a parked motorbike, Juna and Noah are resting at a picnic table. The women ride a motorbike to France to fulfill their promise to Zora, who passed away. Bernou van Dijk’s graduation film Motorengel is a roadmovie about mourning and the different ways people deal with it. Noah’s need to jointly honour the memory of her love clashes with Juna's incapacity to mourn for her sister. Between the rolling hills and deserted filling stations, the tension mounts.
