Recently, Jona moved back in with her mother. This causes tensions. The more so when it is clear that Jona’s mother does not really take her queer identity seriously.
A slice of life, reflecting the complex relationship between a daughter and her mother. After an intense breakup with her lover, 24-year-old Jona(Sharlee Daantje) has moved back in with her mother Mirjam (Isa Hoes). This takes both some getting used to: Mirjam has lost her latitude and Jona struggles with her mother’s old-fashioned notions. On Mirjam’s birthday, tensions mount when it is clear she does not consider Jona’s queer identity quite as important as Jona does.
