Mobidiots is a kind of remake of the film Warffum 220562, which the Postal Services commissioned filmmaker Louis van Gasteren to make in the early sixties about the advance of the telephone system. This time, students from the HKU follow Chris Vedder. He owns 'a dozen or so' mobile phones and almost at any given moment he has one of them pressed against his ear. Vedder is the commercial manager of a mobile phone company and, he admits, a telephone addict. 'I never eat in restaurants where you can't make phone calls.'
