Twenty years ago, filmmaker Wiam Al-Zabari fled Baghdad with his family. In the Netherlands, his father was already waiting for them. They have not said a word about it ever since. Now that Al-Zabari is a father himself, many questions come to his mind, in this documentary about transgenerational trauma. Why did they actually have to flee? And what influence did their flight and their arrival in the Netherlands have on the course of their lives? To find out, he breaks the silence for the first time and starts talking with his child and his family.
