Body horror and coming-of-age film about the female body and the destructive side of humans. As a cry for attention, Noa eats radioactive material. The consequences are sweeping.
Noa’s mother is a scientist who grows so obsessed with her study of nuclear energy that she loses it and neglects her child. Out of despair Noa eats some uranium, but it doesn’t help. Her dying mother loses it even more and after her death Noa is sent to a state orphanage where youngsters are primed for building a nuclear bomb. She does not feel at home there. She briefly seems to have control of her body, but then it turns out the uranium in her stomach has far-reaching consequences.
