Psychological thriller in which the socially successful Luc Sipkes unexpectedly discovers that his brother Ad, who has been missing for fifteen years, is leading a hermit's life in the Belgian Ardennes. Together with his heavily pregnant wife Mieke, Luc pays a visit to his frugal brother. He is living together with Luc's ex-girlfriend Els and both seem to be very tense. To find out the real reasons behind Ad's disappearance, Luc decides to stay a little longer. When strange noises come from his brother's illegal gin still, Luc takes a look. A shocking and tragic family secret is revealed. Met grote blijdschap (With Great Joy) is part of a film series that was produced within the scope of the No More Heroes project, an initiative enabling young and talented writers and filmmakers to realise a feature film.
