Much-praised stand-up performance by Theo Maassen.
During the Netherlands Film Festival, Theo Maassen performs his seventh solo stand-up show in Utrecht. ‘Theo Maassen gives the Netherlands a merciless thrashing, but seems to see the funny side of things. He stages a perfect cabaret show’, the headlines of De Volkskrant read. NRC wrote: ‘According to Theo Maassen, not only his own best years are behind him, but also those of the country he lives in. Strangely enough, this results in a superior solo act.’ And het Parool wrote: ‘As always, his boyish bravura, refreshingly phrased perceptions and acerbic jokes are the main ingredients. This formula is still in mint condition.’
