A Turkish mother feels she has failed, now that her sixteen-year-old daughter has to get married because she is pregnant. Set in Amsterdam, in the early 1980s.
Amsterdam, 1982. In a Turkish family of immigrant workers, a sixteen-year-old girl has to get married because she is pregnant. While her mother, on the early morning of the shotgun wedding, drowns in feelings of guilt, a candid heart-to-heart brings her closer to her daughter again, who will leave for Turkey after the wedding day.
