Though their child comes into the world stillborn, Robin’s body does produce milk. The mourning mother hopes she can donate her milk and thus do something meaningful. But this appears to be harder than expected, in this drama.
When their child comes into the world stillborn, Robin (Frieda Barnhard) and her husband (Aleksej Ovsiannikov) return home completely numb. A few days later, Robin’s body starts producing milk. While both parents find it hard to express their grief, the mourning mother keeps expressing milk. As time goes by, the fridge fills up with bottles. Slowly, Robin’s cautious curiosity about donating her milk turns into an uncompromising, almost obsessive indomitability. Gripping feature debut about mourning and coping with an immense loss.
