Seventy-year-old Claire used to sing in a band and would like to perform on stage once more, together with two friends. She approaches her son Sid, a tough but destitute R&B musician, to form a band. He would not touch it with a ten-foot pole, but still he gives in. On one condition: they have to play his music. Her other son has his doubts about his mother's new singing career.
