An ordinary man accidentally kills someone when driving home. Struggling with his bottled-up guilt, he searches for a way to make amends.
Matieu is an ordinary man in his forties, but then he accidentally kills someone while driving. In this graduation film, he decides not to tell anyone about the accident. To the outside world, he pretends nothing is wrong, while increasingly losing himself in remorse. Soon, it becomes harder to keep up the facade, and those around him start questioning his behaviour. This leads to an unexpected attempt to atone for his guilt.
This film is part of the NFF Studentencompetitie and nominated for the Topkapi Filmprijs 2025. The winner will be announced on Monday, September 29th, during the Talent Awards Ceremony at the Stadsschouwburg Utrecht.
